This an excellent tale of two women living over a century apart. Gorgeously written, I was hooked from the very first chapter. Sara was an intriguing character—believable, likable, and most of all, relatable—from her relationships to the failing health of her father. The story itself if engrossing—you cannot help but becoming invested as you go along with Sara to uncover the mysteries of the past. I appreciated the authenticity Ms. Rosen presented. This era and location was obviously well-researched.
This was one of those books that’s difficult to put down—it kept me up for a couple of nights well past my bedtime. Nice job. This is definitely an author to watch.
